CNet Amiga ToolKit, v3.00 HISTORY! File by Dotoran!
============================================================================
-- v3.00 --
- Release Date: April 5, 1997!
- Well, working alone again. ;-)
- Corrected, enhanced, and introduced NEW routines in BOTH ToolKits!
- Routines written for CNet Amiga, v3.05c AND the NEW v4.26b! Single
dual-compatible routines are presented, whenever possible!
- Included an AmigaGuide file listing the format/usages of the included
REXX routines.
- Included a "NewDoor" framework, WITH description. (Used similarly to
the "empty.c" file "C" coders get to use!)
- Includes a "RunARexx" file which works and looks EXACTLY like CNet's
internal RUN command, only this one launches ARexx programs!
- Included/Created ALL NEW ScreenShots, which are now notated in the
ToolKit descriptions, so you'll know if there's a "preview" available!
- Included a small ARexx script for use in CED. This script automates
the ability to include one of the ARexx routines directly into your
own creations.
- All text files updated, corrected, beefed up, etc. etc. etc.! hehe
-- v2.0 --
- After quite some time, we accumulated LOTS of information to share
with the general public. So much, in fact, that it became neccessary
for us to no longer carry it within the GETUSER package, but to have
it as a separate downloadable package of it's own.
- The amount we added as NEW was also great enough for us to make another
small change. We had to eliminate one set of ARexx routines, so we
decided to eliminate the "beginners" coding, as most of you told us
that it was the routines themselves you were really interested in, and
not specifically HOW they WORKED.
- The NEW ToolKit contains 40 ARexx subroutines for use in your own files
as well as a NEW ToolKit, containing 20 MCI/BBSMENU/BBSTEXT additions
you might also enjoy adding into your systems.
- Also included are numerous screen shots showing what some of the new
MCI additions look like, as well as some additional smaller files that
I think will also make this work shine.
- Lastly, I've included ALL 40 AREXX subroutines in their own little text
files. JUST the CODING from these routines, which should make ADDING
them to files of your own MUCH easier AND faster.
- Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hannakah, Happy New Year & any
other holiday greetings you can think of! We hope this package comes
to you as a nice HOLIDAY GIFT! Enjoy the work! - Dotoran & PMK
- Release Date: December 16, 1994!
-- v1.0 --
- The v1.0 of the "ToolKit" was included within the "GU30_Package.LHA",
the well-known GETUSER package for CNet Amiga.
- It contained 15 AREXX subroutines for use with CNet Amiga. Each of the
included routines also included an "expert" routine, which used coding
that was, at times, significantly smaller(shorter) than the original
coding.
- The original ToolKit was written by Dotoran & PMK, where Dotoran wrote
the "easier codings" and PMK wrote the "expert" codings.
- The first ToolKit started out as a "nice idea" we thought should also
be shared with all other SysOps. We were very taken aback by the amount
of mail we received concerning this initial effort on our parts. The
users(SysOps) liked it so much, they wanted MORE!
- Release Date: March 1, 1994
